About BasicSurvivalKit.com
Helping everyday families get prepared without fear or confusion.
BasicSurvivalKit.com was built on a simple idea: being prepared should be easy. Governments around the world recommend that every household keep at least 72 hours of supplies, yet most families have never put a kit together.
We organize preparedness into three clear levels: 72 hours, two weeks and 90 days. For each level we explain what you need and why, and we point you to well reviewed products you can order today.
How we choose products
We pick products that are widely available, made by established brands, and suited to the needs described in public guidance from Ready.gov, the American Red Cross and the CDC. We focus on usefulness, durability and value. We do not accept payment from brands to be listed.
